Mulch is a proof-of-concept tool currently in private beta. These terms cover what you're agreeing to by using it. The short version: it's a documentation and reflection aid, not a clinical authority, and it's built on the assumption that you never enter anything that identifies a real client.
Mulch helps behavioral health clinicians turn a dictated or typed session summary into a draft progress note, and supports deliberate-practice reflection on your own clinical development over time. It is a documentation and reflection aid — it is not a substitute for your clinical judgment, supervision, or consultation, and it does not make clinical decisions.
By using Mulch, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Access during this beta is invite-only. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for anything that happens under your account. Accounts are personal — don't share your login with anyone else.
Mulch is built and operated on the assumption that no real client-identifying information is ever entered — no real names, birthdates, contact information, or other details that could identify a specific client. This isn't optional formatting guidance; it's a condition of using this service. Everything you type is sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response, and Mulch has no infrastructure in place to handle protected health information (PHI) responsibly — by design, not as a temporary beta limitation.
You are solely responsible for de-identifying anything you enter before you enter it. Violating this requirement is a violation of these Terms and may result in your account being suspended or terminated.

Every note, reflection summary, or other AI-generated output Mulch produces is a draft. Nothing is finalized, filed to a real record, or treated as clinical guidance without your own review. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and clinically validating anything Mulch generates before relying on it or using it in any real documentation. Mulch can make mistakes, omit clinically relevant detail, or phrase something in a way that doesn't match your clinical judgment — that's expected of a drafting tool, and it's on you to catch it.
Mulch is a proof-of-concept product under active development. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice, and the service may be unavailable at times. We make no guarantee of uptime, data durability, or that any particular feature will continue to exist in its current form. This is expected of beta software — if something breaks or seems wrong, please tell us using the Support button in the app.
Mulch is currently free to use during this beta period. If that changes in the future, we'll tell you in advance, and you won't be charged without clear notice and an opportunity to decide whether to continue.
You may stop using Mulch and request account deletion at any time by contacting us (see below). We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, in particular the de-identification requirement in Section 3, at our discretion.
Mulch is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mulch and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any clinical, professional, or business decisions made based on its output. You remain solely responsible for your own clinical judgment and professional obligations at all times.
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use Mulch after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
